When did you first start thinking about surrogacy?

I first started thinking about surrogacy about a year ago in May of 2020.

Was there someone in your life who inspired you thinking about starting the process?

A few people in my life inspired me to start this journey. I am a nanny and have worked with many families who have gone through fertility issues. I have seen and gone through the heartbreaks and celebrations with them! It is hard to watch people you love go thru that!

Do you have a friend who has been a gestational carrier?

A friend of mine was a surrogate with ConceiveAbilities. She also encouraged me to start this journey.

What are you most excited about with a potential surrogacy journey?

I’m am most excited to bless a family with a child and to experience the joy and happiness with them thru the process. I also can’t wait to gain new friends along the way. I get excited with every email and call I receive that puts me closer to being matched with a family.

What are you most unsure/anxious about with a potential surrogacy journey?

I’m anxious but hopeful that my match will be successful and all my medical work up will come back perfect.

Tell us a bit about yourself and your family.

I have a great support team at home. I met my husband in high school and we have been together for 19 years and married for 16 years . My husband is a great hands-on father. We have 3 daughters age 16,14, & 12! My daughters are excited about me doing this and they are at a great age to comprehend what the process entails! My husband and I have spent many hours talking about this process and went over many questions that have come up about it.

Anything else you'd like to share?

For anyone considering becoming a surrogate I can say at this point in my journey it is exciting and a great feeling to even be able to do this. The process so far has been fast yet tidy. I feel hopeful and confident in the ConceiveAbilities team! They answer any question I have and explain the process very well. If anyone is around the same stage of the process I would love for you to reach out!
