Is this your first surrogacy journey?

This is actually our third (and last!) surrogacy journey.

When did you first start looking into surrogacy as an option to build your family?

After countless failed IVF attempts, I finally got pregnant but delivered our first born daughter at 25 weeks. She spent 16 weeks in the NICU and today is a healthy four year old. After much discussion with both my OB and our fertility doctor, we decided this was the best path forward for building our family.

How did things go during your first meeting with @SamB

Mike and I were so happy after our first video call with Samantha and Randy. They are so much younger than us and it was like talking to our peers. They seemed so excited and we felt the same way.

What is the most exciting part of the journey? And what are you anxious about?

The most exciting part of this for me is sharing this experience with another family and creating this special bond/relationship with them. I have no anxiety about the process. These women are very special people and we've been beyond lucky with our matches.

Tell us a bit about your family.

My husband and I have been married for almost 12 years. We have three beautiful daughters. Nora, age four (who I carried). Penelope "Poppy", age 2 (carried by our amazing surrogate, Mindi), and Mary, five months (carried by our amazing surrogate, Haley). We are expecting baby boy (currently being carried by amazing surrogate, @SamB). Even as I type this, I can't believe this is my life. I am so lucky and I could have never imagined any of this while I struggled through years of fertility treatments.

Thanks for sharing your story, @annacox1
