Anderson Cooper is a proud papa to a new baby boy, delivered via surrogacy. He announced the birth on Thursday's Anderson Cooper 360 broadcast.
"This is Sebastian Luke Maisani-Cooper, He was 6.8 pounds at birth, and he is healthy and happy. Even his occasional hiccups are, to me, adorable," Cooper said during the broadcast.
"We want to thank the amazing doctors and nurses who helped bring Sebastian into the world, and most of all thank the surrogate who carried Sebastian and gave birth to him," Cooper said. "We’ll never forget the kindness of she and her family and all surrogates who help bring new life and new love into the world."
Cooper went on to say that both Wyatt and Sebastian are being raised by him and his "best friend and former partner," Benjamin Maisani. "Wyatt calls me 'daddy' and Benjamin 'papa.' We're a family. Benjamin is also in the process of adopting Wyatt, whose last name will be changed to Maisani-Cooper as well."
